1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Timer & Block Data: Timer configurations, blocks, media references, and session history you create within the App. This data is stored locally on your device using SQLite and is never transmitted to our servers.
• Audio Recordings: If you use the audio recording feature, recorded audio is stored locally on your device in the Documents/Timber folder. Recordings are never uploaded or transmitted anywhere.
• Media Files: Audio, video, and image files you import for use with timers are selected through your device's system file picker (Storage Access Framework). The App copies your selected file into the Documents/Timber folder for later playback. The App does not browse, index, or access your broader photo, video, or audio library.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the App. AdMob may automatically collect:

• Device identifiers (Advertising ID / IDFA)
• IP address
• Device and hardware information (model, OS version, screen size)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
• General location data (derived from IP address)

On devices where consent is required by law (European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and certain US states), AdMob only collects identifying data after you have given consent through the in-app Google User Messaging Platform form on first launch. You can revisit and change this consent at any time from Settings → Privacy → Ad Privacy Options. For more information, see the Google Privacy Policy.

In-App Purchases (RevenueCat)

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat may collect:

• Anonymous user identifiers (app user ID)
• Purchase and subscription transaction data
• Device type and OS version
• Country/region (derived from App Store / Play Store locale)

RevenueCat does not collect personally identifiable information. For more details, see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

Analytics (Firebase Analytics)

Firebase Analytics (by Google) may collect, only after you have opted in:

• App usage data (screen views, session duration, feature usage)
• Device information (model, OS version, language, screen resolution)
• Firebase Installation ID — a pseudonymous identifier that is reset when you uninstall the App or clear app data, but is otherwise stable across launches
• General location data (country/region from IP address)

This data is used solely to understand how users interact with the App and to improve the user experience. See the Firebase Privacy Information.

Crash Reporting (Firebase Crashlytics)

Firebase Crashlytics may collect, only after you have opted in:

• Crash logs and stack traces
• Device state at the time of the crash (memory usage, disk space, battery state)
• Device information (model, OS version, orientation)
• Anonymous Crashlytics Installation UUID

This data is used exclusively to identify, diagnose, and fix app crashes and stability issues. See the Firebase Privacy Information.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following third-party service providers for the purposes described above:

4. Data Storage & Security

• Local Storage: All user-created content (timers, blocks, history, media files, audio recordings) is stored exclusively on your device using SQLite database and the device file system. We do not have access to this data.
• Third-Party Data: Data collected by AdMob, RevenueCat, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics is stored on their respective servers. Please refer to their privacy policies for information about their data retention practices.
• Security: We implement reasonable technical measures to protect the information handled by the App, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

5. Your Rights & Choices

• Analytics & Crash Reports: Analytics and crash reporting are disabled by default on first install. After you have used the App for several timer sessions, the App asks whether you would like to share anonymous usage and crash data. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy → Analytics & Crash Reports.
• Ad Personalization: When required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or certain US states), the App shows Google's User Messaging Platform consent form on first launch and provides a persistent Settings → Privacy → Ad Privacy Options entry to revise your ad consent at any time. You can additionally opt out of personalized advertising at the device level:
  • Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset / Opt out of Ads Personalization
  • iOS: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising → Personalized Ads
• Delete Your Data: You can clear locally stored data at any time through Settings → Clear History or Settings → Reset All Data within the App.
• Uninstall: Uninstalling the App removes its internal database and preferences. Media files stored in the Documents/Timber folder persist on your device after uninstall; you can delete them manually from your device's file manager to reclaim storage.

6. Rights for Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent UK / Swiss laws:

• Right of access to the personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure of your data (you can also do this directly in Settings → Reset All Data)
• Right to restrict or object to processing
• Right to data portability
• Right to withdraw consent at any time, for both analytics (Settings → Privacy) and personalized advertising (Settings → Privacy → Ad Privacy Options)
• Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your jurisdiction

Because the App does not require an account and collects no directly identifying information, requests for access, rectification, or erasure can usually be fulfilled by the in-app data reset functions. For other requests, please contact us at the email address in the Contact section below.

7. Rights for US Residents (California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and Others)

If you are a resident of a US state with comprehensive privacy legislation, you have the following rights regarding personal information:

• Right to know what categories of personal information are collected and how they are used (described in Sections 1 and 2)
• Right to delete your personal information (via Settings → Reset All Data)
• Right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. The App provides this option through Settings → Privacy → Ad Privacy Options when required by your state
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense. The App may share device identifiers with our advertising partner (Google AdMob) for the purposes of displaying relevant ads, which some state laws classify as a "sale" or "share." You can opt out of this through the in-app Ad Privacy Options entry.

8. International Data Transfers

The third-party services used by the App (Google AdMob, Google Firebase, RevenueCat) are operated by companies based in the United States. When the App sends data to these services, that data is transferred to and processed in the United States. These providers rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, where applicable) for international data transfers as required by GDPR and other applicable laws.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children. Our intended audience is users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.

The App uses Android's Storage Access Framework (the system file picker) to let you choose audio, video, or image files. It does not request broad access to your photo, video, or audio library — the system only grants the App access to the specific files you pick.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Last updated" date above. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
